FAQ — Transceiver-modules 25G / 40G / 100G
1Hoe kiest u tussen QSFP28 SR4, LR4 en BiDi?
- SR4 (850nm, MPO): korte afstand ≤ 100m over OM3/OM4-vezel — intra-rack en inter-rack in de serverruimte.
- LR4 (1309nm, LC): lange afstand tot 10km over OS2 singlemode-vezel — inter-gebouw of DCI.
- BiDi (1291/1311nm): één enkele vezel voor beide richtingen — bespaart bekabeling als vezel al geïnstalleerd is.
2Wat is het verschil tussen DAC, AOC en transceiver + vezelkabel?
- DAC (direct koper): ≤ 5m, goedkoper, geen stroomverbruik — ideaal intra-rack top-of-rack.
- AOC (actieve vezel): tot 100m, licht, zonder aparte SFP — inter-rack lange afstand.
- Transceiver + vezelkabel: flexibel, onbeperkte afstanden, individuele hot-plug — permanente infrastructuur.
3Zijn uw modules compatibel met mijn Cisco / Arista / Mellanox switch?
Ja. Elke Elfcam-module is op maat gecodeerd voor het merk van uw apparatuur. Gebruik de configurator hierboven of neem contact met ons op met het exacte model van uw switch — wij verifiëren de compatibiliteit voor verzending.
4Welke vezel gebruiken met een QSFP28 SR4 100G?
De QSFP28 SR4 gebruikt een multimode-vezel OM3 of OM4 met MPO/MTP-connector van 12 vezels. Max afstand: 70m op OM3, 100m op OM4. Voor grotere afstanden kiest u de QSFP28 LR4 met OS2 singlemode-vezel en LC Duplex-connector.
5Kan een QSFP28 gebruikt worden in een QSFP+-slot?
Alleen als de switch de "QSFP28 backward compatible"-modus ondersteunt. In dat geval werkt de poort op 40G. Controleer de datasheet van uw apparatuur — sommige Arista- en Mellanox-switches accepteren beide, andere vereisen een firmware-update.
6Wat is de garantie en levertijd?
Alle Elfcam-modules genieten van een levenslange garantie. Verzending op de volgende werkdag vanuit onze voorraad in Frankrijk. Gratis retour als de module niet initialiseert op uw apparatuur.
